Weatheradio Canada
Weatheradio is a network of radio stations operated by Environment Canada on the same frequencies as the system in the United States, which is operated by NOAA.
SAME has also been implemented in 2007, and Canada's CLC codes are compatible with NOAA receivers using FIPS.
There are some Weatheradio stations on normal broadcast bands in some areas. These stations do not support FIPS.
Testing
Weatheradio tests are issued the first Wednesday of every month at about noon. SAME tests are issued every week on Wednesday, at noon.
Frequencies
Certain radios reference channel numbers instead of frequencies. These channel assignments are followed by most receivers and in the order that the frequencies were introduced to the weatheradio system; however they may vary by device, so double check with your receiver's manual if this doesn't work.
